Osmar Nunes- Viches moved to Washington, DC from Buenos Aries, Argentina in January of 1999. He achieved success very quickly in the nightlife industry of Washington. In 2005 along with Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld he opened Maté the hip Latin-sushi lounge in Georgetown. In the works are two more lounges in the up coming year along with La Martina, an Argentinean polo shop. He lives in Foxhall with his pug dog Chu-Cha.
Mate
Mate is decadent, lush and entirely unexpected in historic Georgetown. All red décor, very luxe Panton spiral lamps, red Luna chairs, a sleek aluminum bar and a Latin inspired sushi menu are brought together to create a sophisticated and seductive atmosphere for Washingtonians.
